JAY-Z ROCKS NUMBER 7 IN SOLIDARITY OF COLIN KAEPERNICK ON SNL

JAY-Z made an epic return to Saturday Night Live last night, co-headlining the show with Ryan Gosling. Hov graced the stage with the legendary Damien Marley to perform his hit single "Bam" off his 4:44 album. But what really stole the show wasn't the dope bars Jay was spitting; rather it was what the music icon was wearing.

During the performance, JAY donned a number 7 Colin Kaepernick jersey. It should come as no surprise to those who follow both Kaep and JAY. Last week during his performance at the Meadows Music Festival, JAY-Z declared his song "The Story of OJ" was dedicated to Colin, along with the the late Dick Gregory.

Many artists and athletes have been voicing their support for Colin Kaepernick and other ball players who have been peacefully protesting police brutality and racial injustice by kneeling during the singing of the National Anthem. President Donald Trump called NFL players who protested during the National Anthem "son of a bitches" which caused a firestorm of backlash by the sports and music community.

It's really dope to see JAY-Z using this big platform to voice his support for the outspoken NFL player who is still unemployed as of this writing. Hopefully all of this publicity will help push teams to pick up Kaep, and most importantly continue to spark the conversation that needs to be had in the United States about the racial injustices and police brutality that many African-Americans perpetually experience in this country.
