WILL KEYSHIA COLE MAKE LOVE AND HIP HOP INTERESTING AGAIN?
POSTED JULY 7TH, 2017 | BY MICHAELA P. SHELTON
The Love and Hip Hop Franchise is extremely popular. Known artists such as Remy Ma, Soulja Boi and Ray J have starred on these shows, and so have upcoming artists like Cardi B and Joseline Hernandez. As drama filled as this series is, people continue to watch religiously. Love and Hip Hop Atlanta recently had it’s season finale so you know what that means… Love and Hip Hop Hollywood is back!
In a couple weeks Love and Hip Hop Hollywood Season 4 will premiere on VH1. Out of all the Love and Hip Hop series, I must say that Hollywood is my least favorite. The story lines, the cast, the fights… everything is just super corny in my opinion. I will say that season 4 may be different with the addition of Keyshia Cole. According to the VH1's official release, "Keyshia Cole prepares for the release of her highly anticipated new album while juggling her co-parenting relationship with ex-NBA star Daniel 'Booby' Gibson. Though she may be new to the cast she is definitely already a staple in the industry. Will she be able to find the right balance between her music and her personal life?" Honestly I am glad that Keyshia Cole has been added to Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, because I was starting to get sick of the story lines.
The season finale of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta was this week. The addition of Lovely Mimi was good and we saw a lot of new developments with Tommie, which was great because she is one of my favorites. I’m sad we didn’t see much of Lil’ Scrappy and “The Bam.” I like their relationship, but I guess it’s truly over now.
I am so sick of hearing about Joseline and Stevie J. According to VH1, Joseline quit the show after Stevie didn’t show up for a Wendy Williams appearance. I know that Stevie J is like the main cast member on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, but I am ready for someone else to take that spot. I would love to see Yung Joc be the main cast member, because he is hilarious and super entertaining to watch. I prefer his story lines way more than Stevie J’s. Hopefully Joseline’s departure means changes to the show and new cast members. Rasheeda and Kirk can go too to be honest, because Kirk has been dogging Rasheeda since the shows inception and it's getting old. Time to revamp and let these storylines go, Mona.
After Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, Love and Hip Hop New York will resume in the Fall. New York is by far the best of the franchise. Even though it will be hard to adapt to Cardi B's departure fron the show, I do like the other cast members. The Creep Squad, Mariah Lynn, Remy Ma and Papoose definitely make up a great cast. Make sure you watch Keyshia Cole in Love and Hip Hop Hollywood July 23rd on VH1.
