DONALD TRUMP WANTS TO BAN TRANSGENDERS FROM THE MILITARY - THE MILITARY SAYS NOT SO FAST

Donald Trump announced via Twitter that he had consulted with the Joint Chiefs and concluded that transgender people would no longer be allowed to serve in the military in any capacity due to the “tremendous costs.” This of course infuriated a lot of people, and was seen as a blatant bigoted attack on the trans community.

But now the Defense Department is saying that Trump’s trans ban isn’t quite set in stone. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford, Jr. Said that he found out about the ban at the same time that world did - and that he wasn't consulted by Trump. He also said that the ban couldn't be implemented until the Secretary of State issues a direct order and guidance and that hasn't happened yet.
