Yara Sahidi, the 18 year old star of the Freeform show Grown-ish, has joined forces with the United Nations new global movement called Little by Little.

The goal is to inspire Gen Z’ers to do 2 billion small acts of good by 2030 in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The UN has listed 17 things we can do to make the world more peaceful, equitable and healthy.

Young people around the world are being encouraged to use social media to share their own ideas and examples of what they are doing create change using the hashtag #LittleXLittle. Some examples are reducing the amount of meat consumption, and relying less on cars as a means of transportation.

Yara cites the recent school walkouts nationwide in protest of Congress’ and the President’s inaction on common-sense gun reform as a prime example of how young can use their power for good.
